What About Life was formed in 2007 by Cassandra Paris-Newsome (Glen Innes) with the support of the Ted Noffs Foundation, Rotary Australia, Speaker for Northern Tablelands Richard Torbay and the Australian Stock Horse Society.
In 2008 Cassandra combined her two loves “horses” and “youth drug awareness” together to embark on a six week horse trek from Brisbane to Sydney to send out a heartfelt message on youth motivation and drug awareness.
While camping in paddocks and show grounds, the horse riders raised money and awareness for the Ted Noffs Foundation.
Cassandra created a school program named What About Life and this program was delivered in over 40 schools throughout the horse trek.
Cassandra’s passion and drive behind drug awareness was triggered when her own mother passed away from a drug overdose.

influenced who we are, but our choices are responsible for who we become"
